Over a decade ago, we set out to create the most durable outdoor heater on the market. Working in the infrared heating industry, we found ourselves let down by the durability of the outdoor heaters that were imported from overseas. All these products used a lower grade of stainless steel (304 grade). While this may be sufficient in other regions, New Zealand’s harsh saline environment leave 304 grade steels prone to rapid deterioration. So, we set out to create an outdoor heating solution constructed entirely from the more durable 316 marine grade stainless steel. Kelray Heaters were born.
